Christmas :)

The countdown has started.

Ok, don’t panic. This is just THE Christmas countdown (but yeah, there’s also another event on our countdown, hihi) and I’m so so sooo excited!

So excited I was for the Yuletide season that my Mom and I (spontaneously) splurged on Christmas gifts yesterday, about 40 days before Christmas! Now we have a lot of Christmas gifts at home already.

And yes I learned that it could be fun to do your Christmas shopping early. Why?

1. The SALE! Although there will be a lot of mark downs nearing Christmas day, I’m afraid they will be left-overs from earlier sales, haha So I assume I got best buys yesterday.

2. No Christmas rush.

Hmm although I love crowded malls during Christmas, I also appreciate a hassle-free shopping. And there will be faster gift wrapping services as well! I really enjoyed Toy Kingdom (Megamall) yesterday, everything was wrapped for free!!

3. More time to pick gifts, hence no mug or picture frame as gifts, haha

4. 13th month pay will hopefully be intact. (HOPEFULLY!!) hahaha

Meanwhile, last Saturday Nixlove and I explored Eastwood Mall, a new establishment in Libis. Nothing extraordinary about the place, I must say, but I love their benches outside. Nixlove and I just sat there for hours and talked about our future, work, families, etc.:)

Then we watched the sun set and waited for the Christmas lights

It’s our fifth Christmas as a couple and seventh as friends Next Christmas, we are probably on our way to changing my surname. I love it!

It’s been a really colorful Sept-October for me. Shame on me though that even if I have a hundred or so ‘bloggable’ topics, I wrote only a few. So let’s just say this post aims to catch up so I document the well, good, and not-so-good recent events.

1. I underwent oral surgery (okay, don’t panic) because eating had become such a task for me. That stubborn third molar made me one tooth (and several thousands) poorer.

2. My Mom just joined facebook. I don’t know if this is suicide (for me, haha) or not but I think she’s having fun so far. :p

3. On reading more books, I failed. When will I return to reading?

4. I’m supposed to write something here. And I forgot.

5. Maybe I should just continue this tomorrow.

Babala: Huwag sasakay sa taxi na TVV 892

(Para mas madali, isusulat ko in Filipino (although not verbatim), dahil Filipino rin exchanges namin e. Karamihan ay mura so Parental Guidance at ito lang highlights, madami pa siya sinabi e)

Kanina, around 2pm, sumakay ako mula Herrera St. sa Makati to Net Cube, The Fort. Galing kasi ako sa office ni Ate Sara, kapatid ni Nixlove. Pinara ko unang taxi na nakita ko at sumakay ng maayos para mabilis makarating sa opisina.

Me: Net cube po, the fort.
Driver/grouchy old man: (Mataas na boses) Saan malapit dun?
Me: Sa may Jollibee ho.

(Byahe)

Nung malapit na sa office, nagpapara na ako pero parang hindi siya nakikinig kaya tatlong beses kong sinabing “para ho.”

Driver/Grouchy old man: Sandali lang!

Nairita na ako dahil hindi niya ako dapat sigawan, at malayo na rin ako sa main entrance ng office building. Pero nagpasensya ako. Pumatak ng 70 ang metro, nagbayad ako ng 500.

Driver/Grouchy old man: Lehce naman o, wala ka bang barya?!

(Sabay tapon niya ng P500 ko sa dashboard ng taxi niya. Uminit ang ulo ko.)

Me: Huwag niyo ho akong sigawan, puwede niyo sabihin ng maayos kung wala kayo panukli.

Driver/Grouchy old man: Putang*na dumaan na tayo shell di ka nagsabi! (sabay tapon ulit ng 500 sa dashboard)

Me: Putang*na rin, huwag mo ako mumurahin at wag mong itatapon ang pera ko!

Si Driver/Grouchy old man biglang hinarurot ang taxi at magpapalit daw siya sa shell, na malayo na sa office ko. Nagsuggest ako.

Me: Magwiwithdraw nalang ako o bibili ng pagkain, malayo ang shell.

Driver/Grouchy old man: Hindi, tang*na sa shell ako magpapapalit!

Me: E di tumatakbo pa rin ang metro? Loko ka pala e!

Driver/Grouchy old man: Talagang tatakbo ang metro, gago ka ba?

Me: Gago ka rin! Huwag mo akong ginaganiyan, gagong to!

(Murahan hanggang makarating sa Shell)

Pagdating sa Shell, bumaba ako at nagsisigaw at humingi ng tulong sa mga gasoline boy at naglabasan ang mga guwardiya.

Habang nagpapapalit si Driver/Grouchy old man, sinisigaw niya na wala akong modo kababae ko pa daw na tao.

Me: Sino ba nauna magmura? at magtapon ng pera? maayos kitang binayaran. Ikaw ang katanda mong tao walang modo at galang sa babae!

Driver/Grouchy old man: Ang tapang tapang mo, gago ka!

Me: Talagang matapang ako! Ako pa gusto mong gaguhin!

(Shocked mga gasoline boy, mukha siguro akong lalaki nung nakikipag-away. )

(Binigay niya sukli ko, walang labis walang kulang pero syempre nadagdagan ang bill dahil tumakbo metro; Pinapakita ko rin sa kaniyang kinukuha ko plate number niya)

Driver/Grouchy old man: Tang*na mo, bumalik ka sa grade 1 at mag-aral ng modo!!

Me: Ikaw ang mag-aral, tanda mong iyan walang ugali! At UP graduate ako, tinuruan akong wag magpaloko at wag magpa-api, tang*na mo!

Driver/Grouchy old man: Tang*na mo!

Me: Mas tang*na mo!

Nashock din ako sa sarili ako. Alam kong feisty ako, suplada minsan, pero never ako nagpapa-api kahit kanino lalo na kapag ako ang nasa lugar.

Nareport ko na sa PNP, LTO at LTFRB at sinabi nila na pwedeng mawalan siya ng lisensiya.

Ako naman, gusto ko lang matuto siya gumalang sa tao (at babae). Ayoko man siyang mawalan ng trabaho, kailangan matuto siya ng leksyon.

An established personal online brand is an ideal. As a power user in social media, you must have at least 300 followers on Twitter, at least 200 connections on LinkedIn and at least 400 friends on Facebook.

You need to have a passion for social media and a thorough knowledge of the industry. You will be expected to flag trends and be aware of new social media sites on the horizon.
