Thea who? :)
Thea Alberto is a reporter for the well-respected and most viewed Philippine news website, INQUIRER.net. The site is the web arm of the country’s leading newspaper, Philippine Daily Inquirer.
She obtained her BS Development Communication Degree at the country’s premiere academic institution, the University of the Philippines (Los Banos).
While at UPLB, she tried polishing her writing skills at the UPLB Perspective, where she later became an Associate Editor. She was also a member of UP Sibol, socio-civic organization aimed at “uplifting the lives of the marginalized sectors of the society [preamble].”
A forever fan of Spice Girls and Beatles (a weird combination, really), Thea assumes she is pop culture and avante-garde (Yoko Ono?) personified. She hates/loves heart-breaking stories like Lolita (Vladimir Nabokov); Kite Runner (Khaled Hosseini); Catcher in the Rye (JD Salinger); Of love and shadows (Isabel Allende); and of course, A Bear Called Paddington (Michael Bond). She has read plenty other books and could not wait to hold hundred others waiting to be taken out of the plastic bookshelf.
She is an only child of a beautiful woman, Celia Fuentebella.
She is now happily engaged to Nicolo Masakayan, who now works as Philosophy instructor in UPLB.

Nicolo is a lucky guy, and vice versa..
I love Catcher in The Rye too, flowed smoothly, I read it in high school, and I thought it was the most laid back book I’ve ever read up to that point.. A lot of subtle life lessons within those pages too..
I’m very impressed too, you were a member of UP Sibol..
